Velneshwar and Harihareshwar
In Jan 2010, I and Prashant did a quick 3 day bike kokan trip. Pune – Mahabaleshwar – Khed – Chiplun – Welneshwar – Harne – Harihareshwar – Tamhini – Pune. Trip was fabulous, 3 days of peace, bike, roads, beaches and sea… what else you want in life :)
This is an attempt at photo blogging the experience :) Here we go !
Descending into Kokan via Mahabaleshwar. Started from Pune at 0630am and reached Velneshwar at 4pm. 280kms.
Welcome to Kokan. A small hut next to our hotel on a beach. 0530pm.
Beach is calling… Sunset is calling… Velneshwar Sunset.
Kids can play cricket absolutely anywhere in the world.. :)

Its been long time since when I was curiously waiting for this trek. Its one of the favourites of most of my trekking friends.. I Had a quite rejuvenating Saturday morning, and pleasant Saturday evening.. It was 1015pm and I had just returned home when my friend called.. asking for Sunday morning Dhaak-Bahiri trek plan.. I said yes in a flash !!
I could not sleep properly that night.. may be because of excitement..
